Neurodiversity Training & Workshops

Creating workplaces where different minds can thrive

Neurodiversity is part of every workplace.

Teams include people who think, communicate, learn and approach their work in different ways. Some people may identify as neurodivergent or have a diagnosis such as ADHD, autism or dyslexia. Others may simply know that they work differently from those around them.

At Bright White Life, we provide practical neurodiversity training and workshops for the workplace, helping organisations build understanding, challenge assumptions and create more inclusive ways of working.

From introductory awareness sessions for whole teams to in-depth workshops and neuroinclusive leadership training for managers, our sessions help turn understanding into practical action.

Based in Sheffield, delivering neurodiversity training online and across the UK.

Why does neurodiversity matter?

Neurodiversity isn’t a niche issue affecting a small proportion of the workforce. Neurodivergent people are already part of most workplaces, whether or not they have disclosed that they are neurodivergent.

The British Dyslexia Association estimates that 10–15% of the population have dyslexia and/or other specific learning differences, while Acas estimates that around 15–20% of UK adults are neurodivergent.

Creating a more neuroinclusive workplace isn’t simply about supporting a particular group. It’s about understanding different ways of thinking, communicating and working, and making sure the workplace doesn’t create unnecessary barriers.

There are clear benefits for organisations too. Acas highlights potential benefits including improved wellbeing, reduced absence and turnover, access to a wider range of skills and experience, and reduced risk of workplace disputes and legal claims.

And this isn’t just about awareness. Managers need the confidence and practical skills to support people effectively. Acas research highlights the importance of training and supporting managers, particularly around reasonable adjustments and having conversations about support.

Neurodivergence can also meet the definition of disability under the Equality Act 2010. Acas guidance on reasonable adjustments for neurodivergent workers explains that someone does not need a diagnosis to be considered disabled under the Equality Act, and that employers should consider support whether or not someone has a diagnosis.

Understanding what this means in practice can help organisations support people earlier, reduce unnecessary barriers and create more consistent approaches.
