Frequently Asked Questions

How can we help you?

For individuals, we can help you learn more about looking after your own wellbeing and setting goals that suit you where you are right now to get to where you want to be. You can choose to join an open course, perhaps to gain new skills in personal resilience or to have a greater awareness of mental health, or you can opt for 121 coaching sessions and support to help you achieve your goals, well-being or otherwise.

For businesses, we can help you define your Workplace Mental Health & Wellbeing Plan and how to implement this over a period of time. We will involve key people throughout your company so everyone is working together, from the frontline staff to key decision-makers, to develop meaningful conversations about mental health at your workplace, and help you to promote positive Mental Health messages to your stakeholders and customers.

We offer a range of wellbeing workshops which can be tailored to suit your business and team needs, as well as team resilience coaching that can help teams and leaders through periods of change to really support each other to proactively and positively deal with the impact of that change, whether its a restructure, major projects or leadership changes, for example.

What is Coaching?

Coaching is different from consulting, mentoring, advice, therapy, or counselling. The coaching process addresses specific personal projects, business successes, general conditions and transitions in the client’s personal life, relationships or profession by examining what is going on right now, discovering what your obstacles or challenges might be, and guiding you to choose a course of action to make your life be what you want it to be.

A coach can help you see clearly where you are right now, create a vision for where you want to go and make a plan to get you to your destination. When your coach has a good understanding of what you want, they will help you, guide you, and facilitate the process of achieving your goals and dreams.

What is Business Wellbeing?

As a business wellbeing consultancy, we assist and guide in evaluating and establishing a wellbeing strategy for the business that is fit for purpose, aligned with the wellbeing needs of the business and its people, taking into consideration the industry, size, budget and operational setup of the business, and the unique requirements that each business may have. By helping you clarify the wellbeing vision for your business and how it fits in with your personal and professional wellbeing goals we can help to take a business from where it is now to where the business owner wants it to be. This can include a range of initiatives, from Mental Health First Aid training, to a programme of workshops on topics such as Building Resilience and Managing Stress, to providing Yoga or Meditation sessions with the support of associate specialists. Every programme is built in consultation with you and can be bespoke to your business and your wellbeing needs.

What is Business Coaching and Mentoring?

Business Coaching and Mentoring can sometimes be confused since both roles are bringing years of experience to the table. The biggest difference is that a mentor focuses on advising in a subject in which they are knowledgeable and experienced, while a coach will assist in goal planning and keeping you accountable so that you achieve success. While I do bring mentoring into the mix of what I do as a coach, I always lead as a coach first, as I believe we all have the answers within ourselves – we just sometimes need the time, space and safety of the coaching space to explore this.

What options do you have for ‘meeting’ clients?

While I live in Sheffield, UK, I am more than happy to help clients all over the world by phone, video, and even in-person sessions (in the Sheffield area). I have a home office for private virtual sessions (Zoom, Teams etc.), and I typically meet with in-person clients in Sheffield city centre or further afield, whether that’s in a neutral space or your own workplace, depending on what suits.
